Janta Dal United and NDA candidate Harivansh Narayan Singh was elected as the new rajya sabha deputy chairperson today defeating the Congress MP BK Hariprasad. While harivansh scored 125 votes, Hariprasad got 105 out of 332 seats.. (speaker- 2:00- 2:30) Let us know more about the newly elected deputy chairman of the Upper House of the Indian Parliament. The Aligarh Muslim University on 12th of Oct issued notices to 9 Kashmiri students for allegedly trying to conduct funeral prayers on the campus following the death of PhD scholar-turned-militant Mannan Bashir Wani in North Kashmir.Later, internal security guard used mild force to disperse the crowd. Later 3 Kashmiri students of AMU were booked on sedition charges for allegedly for raising “anti-India” slogans. And one should always remember, in a democracy like India, citizens including students do have rights to lodge their disagreements against any issue.. but performing funeral of an alleged terrorist, and mainly within the campus just because he belongs to their same community this is Sad.

If one explanation has to be given for the BJP’s electoral madness in the Hindi heartland and nearby states, it is their arrogance.At times, this arrogrance seems to be more of a frustration. This is such a shameful matter, that the core lawmakers of our country behave such unmannerly. With only 276 seats we can see such arrogance within our ruling government. Now the question is if this same BJP gets 300+ seats imagine the kind of arrogance they will have. This will reach to such a zenith that one day they will ensure that no body enters the parliament or worse they might beat up the opposition rulers.. And if this continues God save the democracy of our country..

Sadly Martyr Agarwal, who was also known as the Son Of Ganga, did not receive any sort of acknowledgment from the Government. When BJP came(BJP) to power in 2014, they made big promises, launched projects like Namami Ganga, had also allotted Rs 20,000 crore ensuring clean Ganga by 2019. But seems like the government has done very little. Obviously, not satisfied with Centre’s work, the environmentalist stopped drinking water as a way of his protest. And insisted that he will continue to fast until the act was implemented. This was the fifth such fast he had done against development projects that are polluting our Ganga. He had put his entire life on stake to protect our natural resources. His death is a sad reminder to us of how much was promised and how little has been done
