Pakistan was locked in a tense election race yesterday, with pakistan’s flamboyant cricketer tuned politician Imran khan’s Tereek-e-insaf is leading with 110 seats. While its main rival Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz was way behind with 67 seats as trends indicated a possible hung parliament. The first challenge will be of course forming a government. And finally we come down to India, where there is unlikely to be any forward movement. Imran Khan who is full of himself, particularly used India to paint his opponent Nawaz Sharif in lurid colours. His anti India, anti-Modi rants and allegations reveals the mindset of this man. Even though his speeches are just a common figure of election rhetoric, much of his political take will be further manipulated in the line of the military establishment of Pakistan. Therefore, instead of holding hopes that the next government in Islamabad will be its partner in peace, India needs to prepare them self for the worst.
