An all-party delegation of Indian members sent by the Centre are visiting several countries as it spreads awareness against terrorism. This is a part of an outreach branching from Operation Sindoor. This operation launched by India targeted and struck terror bases in Pakistan.

Members of the Indian diaspora spoke from Tokyo and showed strong backing and support for the current initiative. They stressed on unity against terrorism and showered praises diplomatic efforts from India.

The delegation targets to brief international supporters and partners on its overall fight against cross-border terrorism and its reply to the terror attack on Pahalgam on April 22. They also talked with world leaders from Malaysia, Indonesia, the Republic of Korea, Singapore and Japan.

BJP MP Hemang Joshi, who is also a part of the delegation spoke with the Indian community in Japan.

He said, “The business had flourished in Jammu and Kashmir in the last four years. Tourism was flourishing. There was democratic development, and the voter turnout was huge during the elections. To derail from all of this, they attacked by asking about the faith of the people, to spread religious disharmony in India, but because of the high Indian values, no internal religious riot took place and every Indian stood together.”

In the meantime, John Brittas, is also part of the delegation in Japan and shared his views.

Brittas said, “India is a democratic country. Whereas Pakistan is a theocratic state. India wants to progress, and that is why Pakistan wants to pull us down. That is why all the terrorist activities take place.”

“We are all from five different political parties, three of which are completely opposed to the ruling party, but we have all come here with a sense of purpose… We give priority to national interest,” Brittas added.

Some other members of the delegation also spoke about their views and opinions.

The delegation earlier met Japan’s Former Defence Minister Minoru Kihara and Shinako Tsuchiya, Director General of the International Bureau, Liberal Democratic Party (LDP).
