“BJP betrayed ShivSena” says Arvind Sawant after submitting his resignation

Sena leader Arvind Sawant commented “I was entrusted with the responsibility of heavy industries. After the assembly election, we received the mandate

Mumbai: On Monday South Mumbai MP Arvind Sawant resigned as heavy Industries Ministry from central government as BJP refused to agree with 50 – 50 formula deal for rotational Chief Minister post in the state.

Sena leader Arvind Sawant commented “I was entrusted with the responsibility of heavy industries. After the assembly election, we received the mandate. Before Loksabha Amit Shah met Uddhav and they discussed 50-50 formula for seat sharing in assembly and rotational CM post. But now they claim no such deal has actually promised. So this hurt the sentiment of Thackeray family and party leaders. We are not comfortable in such an environment and can’t function in the government with BJP. So I have decided to resign as Minister from the Centre”.

BJP and ShivSena both are grand old alliance and they have contested 2019 Lok sabha and assembly elections together but the current political scenario has completely changed after Arvind Sawant resigns as a minister. It is crystal clear that ShivSena wants its own CM in the state of Maharashtra and certainly for the numbers to prove majority Sena is ready to take support from the opposition parties NCP and Congress.

Even ideologically ShivSena is Hindutva based party and whereas NCP – Congress is secular parties so if these three parties come together and form the government it is not sure that Maharastra will have a stable government. Inside assembly, many fusses could happen during discussions, debates and bill passing. Another major factor is it could be completely fractured government can also dissolve anytime.
