India Launch 24 Missiles At Pakistan, PoK In Operation Sindoor

Officers confirmed the use of specialized weaponry for precise strikes on specific buildings

On Tuesday, India launched Operation Sindoor, targeting 9 terrorist sites. These Strikes destroyed camps linked to attacks by groups like Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammad.

Colonel. Sofiya Qureshi, Wing. Commander. Vyomika Singh, and Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri briefed media on precise non-escalatory strikes avenging past attacks without harm to infrastructure in Pakistan and PoK, aiming to dismantle terror networks.

“The point of impact in each of the target was a specific building or a group of buildings and all the targets were neutralized with clinical efficiency,” Wing Commander Singh said.

“The locations were so selected to avoid damage to civilian infrastructures and loss of any civilian lives. This was done with due diligence,” Colonel. Qureshi said.

She then said, “Over the last three decades, Pakistan has systematically built terror infrastructure. It is a complex web of recruitment and indoctrination centres, training areas for initial and refresher courses and launch pads for handlers. These camps are located both in Pakistan as well as Pakistan occupied Jammu and Kashmir areas.”

Misri said, “Earlier this morning as you would be aware India exercised its right to respond and pre-empt as well as deter more such cross-border attacks. These actions were measured, non-escalatory, proportionate, and responsible. They focused on dismantling the terrorist infrastructure and disabling terrorists likely to be sent across to India.”

The strikes targeted specific locations in Pakistan. This includes the Sarjal camp in Sialkot, Mehmoona Joya, Markaz Taiba in Muridke, and Markaz Subhanallah in Bahawalpur. In PoK, the operations focused on Sawai Nala and Syedna Bilal in Muzaffarabad, Gulpur and Abbas camps in Kotli, and Barnala camp in Bhimber. Officers confirmed the use of specialized weaponry for precise strikes on specific buildings, avoiding collateral damage to non-military locations.

The Prime Minister Narendra Modi had made a statement soon after the Pahalgam attack, saying that India will trace and punish every terrorist and will pursue them to the ends of the earth.

PM Modi earlier said, “Today, on the soil of Bihar, I say to the whole world — India will identify, trace, and punish every terrorist and their backers. We will pursue them to the ends of the Earth,” while speaking in Bihar.
