Five Major Reasons: Why Rahul Gandhi Should Not Be Made Congress President Once Again

5 reasons why rahul gandhi should not become congress president again

Mumbai:  The Congress party will soon undergo a process of major organizational change. In the coming days, the Congress party may get a new president. The election dates for the Congress President will be announced in the CWC on August 28.
To fill the life of the party, the Congress’s Bharat Jodo Yatra will start on 7 September. Its slogan is, ‘Mile Kadam, Jude Watan.’

Experts believe that there is a motive for this visit of Rahul Gandhi and the party. That is, connecting a large number of people.

However, it is not yet clear whether former Congress President Rahul Gandhi will once again take the responsibility of the post of President of the Congress party in his hands or not.
In this article, let me tell you five big reasons why Rahul Gandhi should not take the mantle of Congress President post once again.

First Reason: The Gandhi family tag

The Gandhi family tag makes Rahul Gandhi a strong contender for the post of President of the Congress party. However, Rahul Gandhi is facing the biggest brunt of it in the elections and this may continue further.
The Bharatiya Janata Party has consistently been aggressive about dynasty politics culture aka “Parivarvaad”. If one goes through the election results analysis, then it can be observed that regional parties dominated by dynasties are finding it very difficult to stay in power or come back. States like Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar are examples of this.

Second reason: Rahul has not been able to win the big election

At present, Congress is in power in Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh. The Congress party is also a part of the government in Bihar and Jharkhand. Although, the credit for the party being in power in these states cannot be attributed to Rahul Gandhi. The party has the potential to win other states such as Punjab, Uttarakhand, Goa and Assam. But the performance of the Congress party here was much more disappointing. Rahul Gandhi resigned from the Congress post in 2019 itself but many agree that he still virtually runs the party. Under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi, the Congress party has not been able to win in any state.

Third reason: compulsion

Many times senior Congress leaders have themselves said that Rahul Gandhi has no intention of becoming the president of the Congress party once again. If Rahul Gandhi is made Congress President once again, the message will be sent that there is no other capable face in the Congress party. The question will also emerge, whether Rahul Gandhi has become President in the absence of a strong leader under compulsion. The Gandhi family can also be accused of not giving a chance to capable leaders.

Fourth reason:  rebellion of many leaders

Many senior Congress leaders have openly criticized the party’s high command and its decisions. Some of these leaders have also joined other parties while some have left the Congress party. Even now there are many such leaders in the Congress party who are not happy with the current leadership, that is, they are not happy with the leadership of the Gandhi family. If Rahul Gandhi becomes Congress President, a section of Congress leaders may break ties with the party.

Fifth reason: Doesn’t give enough time to party

Rahul Gandhi is often called an immature politician. The reason behind this was his many private foreign tours. His mother Sonia Gandhi’s health is also not good. For this reason, he devotes more of his time to her care. Many experts have said that a full-time president is needed to revive a party like Congress. And it cannot be expected from Rahul Gandhi that he will be able to serve the party as a full-time president.
