Over 80 Rajasthan Congress MLAs have resigned from Congress in a fresh crisis. They have submitted their resignation letters to Assembly Speaker, CP Joshi. MLA Shobha Rani Kushwaha, was also at CP Joshiโs residence. She was expelled from the BJP for cross-voting in favor of the Congress in this yearโs Rajya Sabha elections.
Bhartiya Janata Partyโs national spokesperson, Shehzad Poonawalla has on Monday taken a jibe at the Congressโs presidential elections amid political turmoil in the state of Rajasthan.
โAs Ashok Gehlot has said, that he will run for Congress president, on 19 October after he becomes Congress presidentโ a media byte played by Times Now shows Ajay Maken saying during a media interaction.

The video however ends after Mr. Maken saying after saying โwhen after 19 October, Ashok Gehlot becomes CM.โ

Soon after the video was out Shehzad Poonawala tweeted, โAjay Maken has already announced the winner of the โelectionโ by saying that Gehlot will be President on 19th October.โ
Ponnawala has also jibed at senior Congress leader Shashi Tharoor who is a contender for the grand old partyโs top post, sending him condolences.
