New Delhi| Head Constable Seema Dhaka, posted at Samaypur Badli, Delhi, will get an out-of-turn promotion, Delhi Police announced on Wednesday. Seema has found 76 missing children within just 3 months. With this, she has become the first from Delhi Police to receive OTP (out of turn promotion).
PRO Anil Mittal of Delhi Police said that on August 5, Police Commissioner SN Srivastava announced an out-of-turn promotion to the constable, who was searching for the missing children.
It was compulsory that 15 children should be below 8 years of age
Police Commissioner SN Srivastava had laid the condition for this. According to it, if a constable or head constable discovers at least 50 children under the age of 14 within a year, he will be given an out-of-turn promotion. It was compulsory for 15 of these children to be under 8 years of age.
Seema found 56 children whose age is less than 14 years
Seema Dhaka has traced a total of 76 missing children since August 5. These children have been found from Delhi and other states. Of these 56 are under 14 years of age. According to Seema, many of the children she has found are from Bihar, Bengal and other states of the country.
1440 children recovered since August
PRO of Delhi Police said that so far this year, 3507 children have reported missing reports. Of these, 2629 children have been traced. The maximum number of 1440 children have been recovered after the announcement by the Police Commissioner. In 2019, 5412 children were reported missing. Of these, 3336 children have been recovered so far.
