Four Terrorists Hidden In Truck Killed In An Encounter With Security Forces In Nagrota

According to the information, the encounter started at around 4.50 am on Thursday. The terrorists were killed in two hours. Security has been increased on the Jammu-Srinagar highway.

 

Srinagar | Security forces killed 4 Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists in Nagrota, Jammu on Thursday morning. The four terrorists were from Pakistan and were going from Jammu to Srinagar with ammunition in the truck. The security forces stopped the truck at Ban Toll Plaza in Nagrota when the militants hiding inside the truck opened fire. Security forces blew up the truck in retaliation. The area has been cordoned off. All the four militants have been killed, the army said in a statement.

Terrorists entered India from Samba Sector

According to Jammu and Kashmir DGP Dilbag Singh, “The four Jaish terrorists infiltrated the international border in Samba on Wednesday night. As they were boarding a truck on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway, police stopped them at the toll plaza near Nagrota. The terrorists hurled a grenade at the police party, injuring a policeman.” This is the second encounter on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway this year. The security forces killed 3 terrorists in January. They were hidden inside a truck as well.

IG Vijay Kumar said that the Jammu Police had information that the terrorists were going to Kashmir Valley. They were killed before reaching Srinagar. The terrorists had planned to disrupt the civic elections to be held in Jammu and Kashmir.
