The Indian National Congress (INC) on Saturday released its manifesto for the Gujarat Assembly Polls scheduled next month. Rajasthan Chief Minister and poll in-charge for the party in Gujarat, Ashok Gehlot, was present during the release of manifesto in Ahmedabad. Gujarat Pradesh Congress Committee president Jagdish Thakor, along with other senior leaders of the party from the state, were seen on the dais as the grand old party released the book of its major promises for the polls.
Here are the main promises made by Congress in its Gujarat Manifesto:
- Responsibility for free treatment up to 10 lakhs to every Gujarati, free medicines will be made available.
- Farmers’ loan to be waived up to Rs 3 lakh, electricity bill waived, common electricity consumers to get 300 unit free electricity up to the .
- Youth will be recruited in 10 lakh government jobs in Gujarat, 50 percent jobs
Will be reserved for women. - Government will end contract-outsourcing system in jobs, unemployed youth will get 3000 Rs per month unemployment allowance.
- Milk producers to get subsidy of Rs 5 per liter, gas cylinder will be given for Rs 500.
- 3000 government English medium schools will open in Gujarat, in which classes from KG to PG girls will be given free education.
- Covid compensation of Rs 4 lakh will be given.
- The corruption that happened in the first two years will be investigated, anti-corruption law will be brought in and the culprits will be jailed.
- Old pension scheme to be implemented in Gujarat.
- Urban employment guarantee scheme like MNREGA scheme.
- Indira Mooli Yojana to prevent malnutrition and provide nutritious food to the poor.
