BJP & ABVP students union alleged that the left-leaning students supported the vandalism and demand action by the JNU administration against those involved
Yet again, Jawaharlal Nehru University has encountered a controversy, this time it is the face of the walls reflecting anti-Brahmin slogans. BJP and ABVP students union have pointed their fingers towards the left-leaning students union. Alongside, they are demanding the JNU administration to take action against the guilty.

Second and third floor; school of language and literature walls are painted with objectionable slogans. These slogans primarily were against the Brahmin and Baniya Communities. The slogans stated; “Brahmins leave the campus”, “Brahmin Bharat Chodo”, “Brahmino-Baniyas, we are coming for you, we will avenge”, reported news agency PTI.
ABVP JNU President Rohit Kumar, told agency: “We believe that academic spaces must be used for debate and discussion and not for poisoning society and students’ community.”
In addition to this the JNU teachers union has also condemned the vandalism and held “left-liberal gang” responsible in their tweet.
‘ Highly deplorable act of vandalism!” the JNU Teachers’ Forum wrote on Twitter.
Elect EC representatives that “can assert the values of mutual respect and civility, & equal & just treatment of all.’ ‘civility’ & ‘mutual respect,” the left-liberal gang appeals.
