Among other claims, Malik has also alleged Wankhede was in the Maldives during the lockdown and that he was targeting Bollywood personalities for an extortion racket. A departmental inquiry into allegations of extortion in the drugs-on-cruise case has also been ordered with Wankhede appearing for questioning.

Kranti Redkar has also written in this tweet that I am an artist. I don’t care about politics. Every morning our honor is being auctioned. In this state of Shivrai, immoral work is being done everyday. Had Balasaheb been there today, he would not have tolerated such atrocities on a woman. I see his image in you too and am sure that you will do justice to us.
Alleging that Nawab Malik said that the bearded man, the friend of Wankhede, was present on the cruise. But it was not scanned. Those arrested were implicated by putting a bus trap. The picture shown is of NCB office. Nawab Malik also said that Sameer Wankhede will have to clarify about Sam D’Souza as well.
Nawab Malik said that the letter we received yesterday was also sent to NCB officials. At that time the officials had said that we would investigate the matter. However, by the end of the evening, he retracted from his point and said that there is no name in this letter. So we cannot take cognizance of it. In such a situation, question marks are being raised on the entire investigation of NCB. Nawab Malik said that if the call details of KP Gosavi are extracted, then this investigation will go in the right direction.
