New Delhi: Congress reacted to Income Tax Surveys at British Broadcasting Service (BBC) Delhi and Mumbai offices. AICC General Secy Shri Jairam Ramesh said that the opposition is demanding Joint Parliamentary Committee in Adani’s case but the government is after BBC.
Congress took to Twitter and posted a Video of Jairam Ramesh, and wrote, “Here we are demanding JPC in Adani’s case and there the government is after BBC. Wisdom against destruction.”

The Income Tax Department is raiding British Broadcasting Service (BBC) Delhi and Mumbai offices. According to Aaj Tak Sources mobile phones of the employees have been confiscated and London Headquarters have been informed about the raid. Employees have been asked to not use their phones.

As per the reports, a team of 60-70 members of the IT department is currently carrying out raids at the BBC Offices.
A spokesperson for the I-T Department speaking with The Indian Express said the surveys were being carried out at multiple locations.
Employees working on the afternoon shift at the BBC’s Delhi office were asked to work from home.
