โ€œWith a heavy heart, my family and I, would like to share that our guiding light and strength, my father, Ramesh Agarwal passed away on March 10. He lived a full life and inspired me and so many of us, every single day.
His death is a tremendous loss for our family. My fatherโ€™s compassion and warmth saw us through our toughest times and carried us forward. His words will resonate deep in our hearts. We request everyone to respect our privacy in this time of grief,โ€ Ritesh said in a statement.

New Delhi | Kerala Chief Minister P Vijayan on Thursday alleged the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) for the violence in Kerala after 2 women aged below 50 years entered the Sabarimala Temple on Tuesday.

Responding to the violence CM Vijayan said,โ€ 7 police vehicles, 79 KSRTC buses destroyed and 39 police personnel attacked, till nowโ€.โ€ Most of the persons attacked were women. Women media persons were also attacked,โ€ he added.

Alleging the RSS, the political ideologue of BJP for creating violence in the State on the name of Sabarimala, Vijayan said,โ€ Sangh Parivar is trying to make Sabarimala into a clash zone.โ€ Itโ€™s the governmentโ€™s responsibility to give protection to women. The government has fulfilled this constitutional responsibility,โ€ he added.

A dawn-to-dusk 12-hour hartal called by Hindu outfits began on Thursday morning in protest against the entry of two women of menstruating age into the Sabarimala temple of Lord Ayyappa. The hartal, which began at 6 am, has been called by Sabarimala Karma Samithi, an umbrella organisation of various pro-Hindutva groups, spearheading protests against the Supreme Courtโ€™s September 28 verdict, and Antarrashtriya Hindu Parishad (AHP). The BJP is supporting the shutdown while the Congress-led UDF is observing a โ€œblack dayโ€ on Thursday.

Two women, Kanakadurga (44) and Bindu (42), created history be stepping into the hallowed precincts guarded by police three months after the Supreme Courtโ€™s historic judgement lifting the ban on entry of girls and women between 10 and 50 years of age into the shrine of Lord Ayyappa, its โ€œeternally celibateโ€ deity.
