“This is Karnataka. You have to speak in Kannada. You people are north Indian beggars”. The agitated driver says.
A video of an Auto Rickshaw driver and a passenger’s blistering exchange of words over which language to converse (Kannada or Hindi) is making rounds on the internet.
Ironically, in the 26-second clip, both were heard arguing in English. ” Why should I speak in Hindi.” The driver says. “Okay, okay, okay”. The passenger responds.
“This is Karnataka. You have to speak in Kannada. You people are north Indian beggars”. The agitated driver says.
“Why. We will not speak in Kannada.” The equally angry passenger responds.
“This is our land, not your land. You have to speak in Kannada. Why should I speak in Hindi?” The driver says to which the passenger says “Ok, Ok, Ok”
