Early on Wednesday, Pakistan reported two children’s deaths and three girls’ injuries after Iran claimed to have targeted two significant bases of the Jaish ul-Adl terror group in Balochistan province. Iran’s Revolutionary Guard stated that drones and missiles were used to destroy the bases in the Kuhe Sabz area, one of the largest belonging to the Jaish ul-Adl.
Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry strongly condemned the incident, labelling it an “unprovoked violation” of its airspace, expressing that it was “completely unacceptable” and warning of potential “serious consequences.” However, Pakistan did not provide specific details regarding the location or nature of the airspace violation.
In response to Iran’s strikes, Pakistan denounced them as an “illegal act” and lodged a strong protest with a senior official in the Iranian Foreign Ministry in Tehran. The responsibility for consequences was squarely placed on Iran. The Jaish ul-Adl terror group has a history of launching attacks on Iranian security forces in the border region with Pakistan.

Additionally, Iran’s Revolutionary Guard claimed to have attacked what it referred to as the “espionage headquarters” of Israel’s Mossad intelligence agency in Iraq’s Kurdistan region. They also reported strikes against the Islamic State in Syria, with no impact on US facilities, according to two US officials. These actions occurred amid regional tensions escalating from the conflict between Israel and Hamas, involving Iran’s allies in Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, and Yemen. Iran, supporting Hamas, accused the US of backing what it called Israeli war crimes in Gaza.
The situation underscores heightened geopolitical complexities and the potential for further repercussions in the already tense Middle East region.
