EC Assigns New Home Secretaries In Six States, DGP In West Bengal

On Tuesday, the Election Commission appointed new Home Secretaries in six states and the Director General of Police for West Bengal, ensuring future elections fairness. Pratyaya Amrit, A K Rakesh, Deepak Kumar, Onkar Sharma, Vandana Dadel, and Dilip Jawalkar were appointed in Bihar, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, and Uttarakhand respectively. Sanjay Mukherjee replaced Rajeev Kumar as West Bengal’s DGP.

According to a notice on its website on Monday, the SSC withdrew the results due to missing data from one phase of the exam. The SSC explained that physical and medical tests for Manipur candidates were conducted in phases due to ongoing tensions stemming from ethnic clashes that occurred ten months ago.
