Due to Bengaluru’s severe water scarcity, authorities will provide treated water to M Chinnaswamy stadium for IPL 2024 cricket matches. The Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board agreed to this request from the Karnataka State Cricket Association. The stadium requires about 75,000 litres daily during matches. Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah stated that the city faces a deficit of 500 million litres per day against the needed 2,600 MLDs.
