On Tuesday, Congress unveiled a fresh roster of 17 candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Among them, YS Sharmila, Andhra Pradesh’s Congress head and sister of Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, will contest from Kadapa. She assumed the state Congress leadership in January following her YSR Telangana Party’s merger with Congress. The list features five candidates from Andhra Pradesh, three from Bihar, eight from Odisha, and one from West Bengal.
