India chose not to vote in favour of a UN Human Rights Council resolution urging an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and halting arms sales to Israel. The resolution also stressed the need for accountability for war crimes in Palestine. India was one of 13 countries abstaining, including Japan, The Netherlands, France, and Romania.
