Prajwal Revanna Says Will Appear Before Police On May 31

Karnataka MP and Janata Dal (Secular) leader Prajwal Revanna, facing sexual harassment allegations, stated he will appear before the Special Investigation Team (SIT) on May 31. In a video message, Revanna asserted his innocence, calling the charges a “political conspiracy” and expressing trust in the judiciary.

The 33-year-old MP left the country on April 26 after videos of him allegedly abusing women surfaced. He apologized to his family and party for his absence, explaining he was in “depression and isolation.” Revanna claimed there were no charges against him when he left and requested seven days to appear before the SIT.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), relief from the heat is expected in northwestern and central India in three days due to an incoming western disturbance. Additionally, the IMD’s monsoon forecast predicts above-average rainfall for central India in 2024, with the entire country expected to receive above-average rains. Northeast India is expected to have below-normal rainfall, northwest normal, and central and south peninsular regions above-normal.
