5 Army Soldiers Feared Dead In Ladakh Flash Floods: Report

Five soldiers died during a river-crossing exercise near the Line of Actual Control in Leh’s Daulat Beg Oldi area early Saturday. Rescue teams recovered one body, with four soldiers still missing. The accident, which involved a T-72 tank and included a Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO), occurred around 1 am as water levels in the Bodhi River near Mandir Morh unexpectedly rose, submerging the tank and soldiers.
