The Jammu & Kashmir High Court has summoned Ganderbal District Commissioner Shyambir Singh in an alleged criminal contempt case. Singh, a 2018 IAS officer, is accused of retaliating against a sub-judge and abusing his position. The court directed Singh to appear in person on August 5. Senior counsel Riyaz Ahmad Jan has been appointed as amicus curiae to assist in the case.
