“Grief Is The Price To Pay For Love”: Shantanu Naidu Pens Emotional Note For Ratan Tata

Expressing grief, Shantanu Naidu, the general manager at former Tata Group chairman Ratan Tata’s office, posted an emotional post to bid adieu to his “dear lighthouse”. His post came after the 86-year-old philanthropist breathed his last on Wednesday.

31-Year-old Naidu’s LinkedIn post read: “The hole that this friendship has now left with me, I will spend the rest of my life trying to fill. Grief is the price to pay for love. Goodbye, my dear lighthouse.”

Tata’s mortal remains were taken to the National Centre of Performing Arts (NCPA) in Mumbai, from where they will be taken to a crematorium in Worli, where he will be accorded a state funeral.

According to a Hindustan Times Report, Shantanu Naidu’s friendship with Ratan Tata blossomed over their love for animals. The two met in 2014 when Naidu developed reflective collars to protect stray dogs from being hit by cars at night. Impressed by his initiative, Tata invited Naidu to work for him.
