Tamil Nadu Cops Nab Accused in State BSP Leader’s Murder Case

In a development in the Tamil Nadu BSP State President K Armstrong murder case, the key suspect was shot and captured by police on Wednesday night.

The accused was identified as Bomb Saravanan. Saravanan was brought to Chennai and further taken to MKB Nagar for investigation and to locate a hidden stash of weapons.

According to reports, during the operation, Saravanan attempted to throw a country bomb at the police team to escape, which led the police to open fire, injuring Saravanan in the leg. He was immediately subdued and taken into custody.

The latest development in the case of Armstrong’s murder was a gang attack that shocked Tamil Nadu. The prime accused who struck Armstrong on the back before the attack was killed in a police encounter in July 2024.

Further investigations are ongoing to uncover more details about the murder plot and the involvement of other suspects, police stated.
