Former Chief Minister of the state of Jammu & Kashmir Omar Abdullah has been seen smiling in a photo who is in detention since August.
Kashmir| Omar Abdullah and other political leaders were detained on 4th August and have been in detention since. The Kashmir had been under communication lockdown for over 5 months after the Narendra Modi-led government at the centre repealed Article 370.
A photo of Mr Abdullah has surfaced on the internet and going viral mainly for his new look. In the picture, he is seen smiling and he has now grown a long beard. The picture has been shared by many on Twitter, while it’s source hasn’t been identified.

Although I have huge political differences with the National Conference and Omar Abdullah, I cannot but condemn his continuous detention.

After the Supreme Court ordered the removal of internet clampdown the Jammu and Kashmir administration on Saturday restored internet services, with restrictions.
Internet access, in the valley, will be limited to those sites which have been whitelisted.
However, social media applications will continue to be banned until January 31st.
