The Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief, Raj Thackeray was talking on the occasion of launching the new flag of his party, where he claimed that Muslims from Bangladesh and Pakistan should be sent back to their country.
Mumbai| Concluding a day-long event organized in NESCO, Goregoan in Mumbai, MNS chief Raj Thackeray went all guns blazing. Thackeray extended his support to the Citizenship Amendment act (CAA) where he stressed the necessity of ‘throwing’ out the Muslims from Bangladesh and Pakistan who are residing in our country.
Many assumptions were made before the event about whether Thackeray will side with the BJP. Thackeray cleared the air around the assumptions by extending the support to the newly amended citizenship act. He said that it should be verified whether the Muslims attending the anti-CAA protests are from Pakistan or Bangladesh.
Thackeray further said that many people asked him if he’s moving towards Hindutva. “They didn’t ask me the same when I made the Pakistani actors run away from here. They didn’t ask me the same when I took out the rally against the violence committed by Bangladeshis in Shivaji Park of Mumbai. They are asking me now if I’m moving towards Hindutva.”

MNS launched its new flag having a stamp of King Shivaji’s kingdom. The saffron color of the flag raised eyebrows. Thackeray said, “I wanted this flag from the beginning. But when I started the party, many people told me about ‘social engineering’. They told me that I should include this color and that color for people of different communities. Wasn’t Shivaji Maharaj inclusive? Then what is the problem with his stamp?”
Further talking about the CAA, Thackeray said, “Many rallies are organized against the CAA. I want to announce that MNS will organize a rally in support of CAA on 9th February in Mumbai’s Azad Maidan.”
Thackeray Junior, Amit Thackeray, was also launched in this day-long event.
It is to be seen if MNS officially allied with the BJP.
