In Maharashtra, the worst affected state due to Coronavirus, more than eight thousand Coronavirus cases were reported for the second consecutive day.
New Delhi| A day after crossing the 1 million mark, India’s Coronavirus cases registered another record biggest single-day spike of over 34000 cases of Coronavirus. As per the data published by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, India’s total COVID-19 tally now stands at 10.38 Lakh. Among them, 3.58 Lakh are active cases, 6.53 Lakh have been recovered whereas the death toll has gone up to 26273.
As per the data, in the last 24 hours, India recorded 34,884 new patients of Coronavirus and 671 deaths linked to the virus.

In Maharashtra, the worst affected state due to pandemic, more than eight thousand cases were reported for the second consecutive day on Friday, while 258 people died of the disease in the last 24 hours. There were 1214 cases in Mumbai and the total number of infected here is 99164. 62 died in Mumbai. So far, 5585 people have lost their lives here.

Mumbai’s neighbouring district Thane which is included in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region has shown a disturbing trend of the upward trajectory of COVID-19 cases.
As per the data released by the Indian Council of Medical Research, 1,34,33,742 samples have been tested for Covid-19 till date, of these 3,61,024 samples were tested yesterday.
