Chandigarh : The New Chief Minister of Punjab, Charanjit Channi will take oath today. This ceremony will be attended by Rahul Gandhi, senior congress leaders and CMs of Congress ruling states. On Sunday evening Congress announced his name after Captain Amarinder Singh gave his resignation.

According to ANI, The deputy from the Hindu community could be one of Brahm Singh Mohindra (the Patiala (Rural) MLA), Vijay Inder Singla (the Sangrur MLA) or Bharat Bhushan Ashu (the outgoing Food and Consumer Affairs Minister).
Only 40 people have been allowed to enter the hall inside the Raj Bhavan where the oath-taking ceremony of Charanjit Singh Channi as the next Punjab Chief Minister will take place.
