The Jharkhand Assembly election results came out yesterday. Within few hours of counting it became clear that the incumbent BJP will find it difficult to prove the majority and form a govt in the state. By the end of the counting, the Congress-JMM-RJD alliance had already taken lead over more than 41 seats, required to prove the majority whereas the BJP was struggling to reach the 30 seat mark. The final results confirmed that the alliance of Congress-JMM-RJD had won 47 seats. JMM became the single largest party in Jharkhand winning 30 seats, Congress won 16 seats whereas RJD won 1 seat. Even Nationalist Congress Party won over 1 seat. BJP on the other hand won 25 seats.
