Raipur| A man running a fake account on Facebook using photographs of a woman has been held by police in Chattisgarh’s Raipur. The profile created in the name of ‘Nisha Jindal’ has more than 10,000 followers on the social media site.
The police department was investigating Facebook account for divisive posts when they found out that a man called Ravi was using this profile. The profile description read, “I am Nothing Without My Lovely Princess Daughter”.
Ravi ran fake accounts on other social media sites as well. He’s an engineering student.

“When the police went to arrest ‘Nisha Jindal’ for allegedly promoting social enmity, it was revealed that Ravi, who has not been able to pass his engineering exam for 11 years, is in fact ‘Nisha’. The police made him post the reality so that his 10,000 followers get to know the truth,” IAS Officer Priyanka Shukla tweeted.
Bhupesh Baghel, the Cheif Minister of Chattisgarh praised the police for their work and said, “No fraud will be spared. Let us reveal all those elements who wish to mislead. Good job Raipur Police.”

Reportedly, police tracked Ravi by tracing his IP address.
