While Congress has revived in Haryana, it is far away from the majority number needed to form the government. BJP is facing a similar situation.
Haryana| Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar met the governor of the state today and staked claim to form a government. The development comes at a time when the election result trends don’t show a flattering picture for the BJP.
As of now, BJP is leading on 40 seats, Congress is leading on 31 seats, JJP is leading on 10 seats. JJP leader Dushyant Chautala in the morning had predicted that no party may touch the mark of 40 seats. He also said that there is a possibility of hung assembly and in that case, the “key to power rests with the JJP”.
While Congress has revived in the state, it is far away from the majority number. BJP is facing a similar situation. Congress leader Bhupinder Hooda offered Chautala to join Congress to form the government as in the alliance, he will be respected. However, sources also have said that BJP too has approached JJP for an alliance.
The JJP will announce its decision tomorrow.
