Assembly Elections 2019: Former Congress CMs Bhupinder Hooda, Ashok Chavan win

Congress Interim President Sonia Gandhi had called Bhupinder Hooda twice. Sources say that the party has kept its doors open for the alliance with the JJP.

 

New Delhi| Former Chief Minister of Haryana Bhupinder Singh Hooda has won from Garhi-sampla kiloi constituency. Congress has improved its performance in the state elections. As of 1 PM, Congress is leading on 35 seats while BJP is also leading on 36 seats. JJP, on the other hand, is leading on 10 seats.

Reportedly, Congress Interim President Sonia Gandhi had called Bhupinder Hooda twice. Sources say that the party which is looking at a powerful comeback, have kept its doors open for the alliance with the JJP.

Meanwhile, the BJP is in panic. Home Minister and BJP President Amit Shah has summoned Haryana CM ML Khattar at Delhi.

In Maharashtra too, the situation is not too different. While BJP is leading on 104 seats, Shivsena is leading on 62 seats. Congress is leading on 40 while NCP is leading on 51 seats. Former Maharashtra CM Ashok Chavan has won from Bhokar.

Ajit Pawar, nephew of Sharad Pawar has also won from Baramati whereas Dhananjay Munde of NCP contesting from Parli against his cousin sister Pankaja Munde
