Telangana CM KCR Appeals PM Modi To Extend Lockdown Till June

Hyderabad|  The nationwide lockdown imposed to curb the spread of Coronavirus in the country will end on April 14. While the central govt is trying to find ways to lift the lockdown in an effective manner, Telangana CM K Chandrashekhar Rao has requested PM Modi to extend the lockdown beyond April 14. He asked PM Modi if lockdown can be extended till June 3.

The highest number of 75 positive cases were reported in Telangana on Friday and two people died. Both the deaths were of people belonging to the Tablighi Jamaat of Delhi. In the last four days, 145 cases have been registered in Telangana.

Significantly, about 1030 people had gone from Telangana to Markaz. In this, 190 people have been found to be corona positive. At present, the total number of Corona infected in the state is 229, out of which 82 per cent are people of Tablighi Jamaat. It consists mostly of people who have returned from Markaz. The corona investigation report of about 500 people of Tablighi Jamaat is yet to come. Here, an elderly woman died of corona in Rangareddy on Sunday. So far, about 32 Corona patients have been cured in the state.
