New Delhi| The Indian government will be signing the Kartarpur agreement with Pakistan on Wednesday. However, the neighbouring country has still not considered withdrawing the $20 fees imposed on the pilgrims as requested by India.
The External Affairs Ministry in its statement said that the government will sign the agreement before November 12. The Sikh pilgrims have always demanded visa-free access to Dera Sahib in Pakistan.

However, the Ministry in its statement also noted that it is disappointed with the decision of Pakistan to not withdraw the $20 fees. It said despite that, it will be signing the agreement on October 23 as it has not made it conditional.
Once the agreement is signed, the process of online registration of pilgrims will start. Pakistan will take six days to process the application and then four days before the travel, they will publish the names of those who have been granted the access.
