Ministry of Health and Family Welfare reports 9756 Active Cases, 1306 Cured/Discharged/Migrated and 377 Deaths in India
NEW DELHI| PM Modi extends the nationwide lockdown till May 3. While addressing the nation PM Modi said, “Till 20th April, all districts, localities, states will be closely monitored, as to how strictly they are implementing norms. States which will not let hotspots increase, they could be allowed to let some important activities resume, but with certain conditions”.
Meanwhile, India surpasses 11,000 counts. In the last 24 hours, 1,076 cases have been reported. India total number of COVID-19 positive cases is 11,439 and 377 deaths.
Globally picture still remains the same with 1,999,373 people have been infected with novel coronavirus with the death toll 126,725.
China has recorded 46 confirmed cases compared with 89 news cases a day earlier. Of the new cases, 36 involved travellers arriving in China from overseas, compared with 86 a day earlier. The 10 remaining cases were new locally transmitted infections.
US President Donald Trump said America will halt the funding of the World Health Organisation and meanwhile conduct a review to assess the role of the world health body in “severely mismanaging and covering up” the spread of the deadly coronavirus.
