Mumbai| The Chairman of Tata Trusts, Mr. Ratan Tata, took on Twitter to inform that Tata Trusts will be pumping in Rs. 500 crore in the fight against the Covid-19.
In a letter released by Tata Trusts undersigned by its Chairman Ratan Tata, it’s said, “The current situation in India and across the world is of grave concern and needs immediate actions. The Tata Trusts and the Tata Group companies have in the past risen to the needs of the nation. AT this moment, the need of the hour is greater than any other time.”
The letter further stresses on the necessity of deploying urgent emergency resources to fight against the Covid-19. It also referred to the coronavirus as one of the toughest challenges the human race will face.
By assuring that the Tata Trusts continue their pledge to protect and empower all affected communities, the letter said that the Trusts is committing 500 Crore Rupees for-
- Personal Medical Equipments for medical staff
- Respiratory systems
- Testing kits
- Setting up modular treatment facilities
- Knowledge management and training of health workers
The letter further added that the Tata Trusts, Tata Sons and the Tata group companies are joined by committed local and global partners as well as the government to fight this crisis and reach out to the underprivileged and deprived sections.

The shortage of medical equipment and facilities is one of the concerning factors in India’s fight against Covid-19.
