Mumbai| Eleven resorts and hotels have been taken over by the state government in Vasai-Virar jurisdiction to facilitate self-quarantine for people. The said hotels and resorts will charge fix rates for self-quarantine guests.
The Palghar District Magistrate Dr. Kailash Shinde has set aside Royal Garden, Golden Chariot, Suvi Palace, GS Motel, Royal Inn, Shelter, Shelter International, Sai Residency, Krishna Resort, Sunshine Residency, and Grand Residency that comes under Vasai Virar Municipal Corporation (VVMC).
The district officials said that the facilities will be used for only the self-quarantine purpose as and when the need arrives.
Palghar district, a neighbouring district of Mumbai, has not seen a single case of Coronavirus yet.
Maharashtra has so far reported 63 positive cases of coronavirus, adding new 10 patients from Mumbai.
The Mumbai Metropolitan Region has been put under shutdown by the state government till 31st March.
