New Delhi| Since the removal of Article 370, the opposition has been continuously attacking the Central Government. Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad said in Delhi on Monday that most of the guest houses in the state have been converted into jails. In these, the politicians are imprisoned. Azad also alleged, “The conversation is being recorded with people who come to meet me. If you (media) know all this, then who will show courage, to tell the truth? The economy of Jammu and Kashmir is going through a very bad phase due to the restrictions imposed during the removal of Article 370. The biggest impact has been on small shopkeepers and daily wage labourers. The workers do not even have food. The situation is much worse than we had anticipated. In Baramulla, I was barred from meeting the labourers.”

‘Several leaders detained in 5 Star Guest House’

Ram Madhav said, “Only 200 to 250 people are in custody in Jammu and Kashmir today for protective reasons.” Many leaders are in 5-star guest houses and some 5-star hotels. ”

‘Government is not telling the truth’

On Monday, All India Muttahida Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi in Hyderabad said, “The central government is not telling the truth on the situation in Jammu and Kashmir.” There is a situation like an undeclared emergency. Why are apple traders not allowed to sell their goods? Why are the schools closed? If they (the government) think that they will fool people by giving false information, then it is their mistake. Now the country knows the truth.”
