WHO Says Coronavirus Spreading Faster Outside China, Cases In India Rise To 31

Coronavirus cases in India rose to 31. The resident of Delhi has been tested positive for Coronavirus. The person has a travel history of Thailand and Malaysia.

 

New Delhi| The World Health Organization has warned that the COVID-19 i.e. Novel Coronavirus is spreading at a faster rate outside China. The WHO has urged all the governments across the globe to pull out all the stops to contain the spread of the virus. “This is not a drill. This is not the time for giving up. This is not a time for excuses. This is a time for pulling out all the stops,” WHO Director-General said in Geneva.

Meanwhile, the Coronavirus cases in India rose to 31. The resident of National Capital Delhi has been tested positive for Coronavirus. The person has a travel history of Thailand and Malaysia, is stable and under constant observation.

There are about 80 countries in the world infected with the coronavirus. So far, more than 95000 people have been infected while 3282 have died. At the same time, the World Health Organization (WHO) said on Thursday that there is a long list of countries who are not doing anything to prevent the virus. WHO chief expressed concern. In Geneva, he said there was a lack of commitment to tackling the epidemic. In Asia, South Korea, Iran are the most affected.

There have been 31 cases of coronavirus in India. Health Minister Dr Harshavardhan said on Thursday that a group of ministers is keeping an eye on all the victims. All the people coming from abroad are being screened at 21 airports. The government has also made it clear that those coming from South Korea and Italy must first show the Coronavirus Free Certificate. In Rajasthan, 247 of these tourists were brought into contact with the 26-member team after being found suffering from the virus. All of these have been reported negative. Meanwhile, the Ministry of External Affairs said on Thursday that the Indo-EU summit to be held this month has been postponed. Prime Minister Narendra Modi was going to Brussels to join it.
