NCP Chief Sharad Pawar expressed the possibility that a Pulwama-type attack can change the mood of the people in Maharashtra.
Mumbai| Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar said on Friday attacked the ruling BJP. He said people of Maharashtra are very dissatisfied with the BJP leadership. However, he also expressed the possibility that a Pulwama-type attack can change the mood of the people in Maharashtra. Pawar was addressing a press conference after meeting party workers.

He said, “Before the Lok Sabha elections 2019, people were angry with the Narendra Modi government. But the Pulwama attack changed the whole situation. Before the upcoming assembly elections, I have been seeing anger against the state government for the last few months.”
Sharad Pawar said that the NCP-BJP coalition is trying to bring secular forces together. “Congress and NCP have come together. We are trying to take Bahujan Vikas Agadi, Samajwadi Party and other smaller parties along with us. The NCP was ready to join hands with the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) led by Raj Thackeray, but the Congress did not agree to it,” he claimed.

Sharad Pawar said that the Modi government is misusing the investigative agencies like ED and CBI. He said, “During the tenure of the Modi government, people came to know the existence of investigative agencies like ED (Enforcement Directorate) and CBI. I have worked with many Prime Ministers, but such abuse of agencies has not been seen before.”
