AAP leader Sanjay Singh warned of unauthorised movements of the EVM after the closure of Delhi polls 2020. He tweeted a couple of videos to back the claim.
New Delhi| Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Sanjay Singh on Saturday warned of unauthorised movements of the EVM after the polling concluded in the Delhi Assembly Elections 2020. The Rajya Sabha MP said the party received information from several places that EVMs were being moved in an unauthorised manner.
Sanjay Singh on Saturday posted a video on his official twitter handle which allegedly shows officials getting off a DTC bus carrying EVM machines.
“Does the reserve (forces) not go along with the EVM? This official was caught with an EVM by people at Saraswati Vidya Niketan School in Babarpur assembly constituency,” he tweeted along with the video

AAP leader said the EVMs, which should be taken directly to the strong room after getting sealed, are still with some officers in Babarpur. He said a similar incident was reported from Vishwas Nagar as well.
Posting another video, which showed voting machines being carried across a street from a bus, Singh said, “The EC should also probe where these EVMs are being taken. There are no centres nearby”.

But Election Commission officials in the poll body said all the EVMs used for polls have been sealed in front of the party agents and have been brought to the strong rooms directly from the polling stations.
The BJP on Saturday brushed off the exit polls that predicted a clear majority for Arvind Kejriwal’s Aam Aadmi Party. After a meeting of the party’s parliamentarians and senior leaders of the Delhi unit called by Union Minister Amit Shah, Meenakshi Lekhi said exit polls were not “exact”.
“All these exit polls will fail. Save my tweet carefully. BJP will win 48 seats and form government in Delhi…please do not search excuses to blame the EVM,” Manoj Tiwari affirmed in his tweet in Hindi.
All the major exit polls have predicted an AAP return in Delhi this year with most of them predicting 50-55 seats for the Arvind Kejriwal-led party in the 70-member Delhi assembly.
However, an exit poll by Sudarshan News claims that the BJP will win anywhere in between 40-45 seats.
