Chennai | Home Minister Amit Shah has expressed confidence about Article 370 and said its abrogation will ensure terrorism in Kashmir will end.
Speaking at a book launch event in Chennai, he claimed that there was no confusion during the scrapping of Article 370 and its consequences.
Amit Shah said, ” As a legislator, I firmly believe Article 370 should’ve been removed long ago. As a Home Minister, there was no confusion in my mind about the consequences of removing Article 370. I’m confident terrorism in Kashmir will finish and it’ll move ahead on the path of development now”.

The Union Home Minister was in the city to launch a book on the experiences of Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu during the past two years in office titled- ‘Listening, Learning and Leading’.
Apart from Amit Shah, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami, Governor Banwarilal Purohit and other dignitaries were also present on the occasion.
India on August 5 revoked Article 370 to withdraw the special status to Jammu and Kashmir and bifurcated the state into two Union Territories — Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.
