This shameless collector in Chattisgarh not only abused his power but also slapped an innocent boy out on the road during pandemic and slammed his phone on the road. Not only should he be dismissed from service but there should be FIR. @bhupeshbaghelpic.twitter.com/4LyW448kEh

Social media was flooded with criticism of the IAS officer’s behavior and demanded his suspension. The IAS association also condemned Sharma’s actions.
“The IAS Association strongly condemns the behavior of Collector Surajpur, Chhattisgarh. It is unacceptable & against the basic tenets of the service & civility. Civil servants must have empathy & provide a healing touch to society at all times, more so in these difficult times.” the association tweeted.
