DMK’s President MK Stalin detained during protest against Governor Purohit

Chennai | Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) working President MK Stalin on Saturday was detained by the Tamil Nadu Police during his protest against Tamil Nadu Governor Banwarilal Purohit.

“DMK has a history of showing black flags to many leaders, including Indira Gandhi, but never were cadres arrested. We want the Governor to resign.” Stalin told media. He further said Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami and Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam will not oppose the Governor as “they are afraid that their corruptions will be exposed”.

“The DMK, which continuously condemns the violations of the Governor, will be prepared for any struggle and sacrifice until its basic principle is achieved in state autonomy, despite the repression of state autonomy. Never give up!” tweeted MK Stalin.

The DMK leader was protesting against the arrest of 192 DMK party cadres at Namakkal while accusing the Governor of acting against the principles of federalism.
