After defeating Indonesia’s Anthony Ginting in the opening match, Lakshya Sen gave India a 1-0 lead. Sen made a spectacular comeback in the second game after dropping the first set 8-21, before overcoming a four-point deficit in the third game. Sen won an hour and five minute match against Ginting 8-21, 21-17, 21-16. Gintin won the first game 21-8, while Sen won the second game 21-7.

India will attempt to make history once more, having already defeated Malaysia and Denmark. In singles, HS Prannoy and Kidambi Srikanth have led the way, while in doubles, Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty have displayed maturity. Indonesia, on the other hand, won the other semi-final 3-2 over Japan.
