“Giggling On Genocide?”: Netizens Slam Vivek Agnihotri, Pallavi Joshi As They’re Seen All Smiles At Bangkok Screening Of TKF

For the premiere of their controversial film ‘The Kashmir Files’, director Vivek Agnihotri, along with his actor-wife Pallavi Joshi, is in Bangkok. However, after one of the video they posted went viral, social media users are slamming the couple for having fun in Bangkok while “the country is burning”.

In this video, Vivek Agnihotri and Pallavi Joshi are seen performing the famous social media “Ye humari Party Ho Rahi Hai” trend while they are at a high-rise building in Bangkok. Vivek and Pallavi are heard saying, “Ye hum hai, ye Bangkok hai aur yaha humari picture chal rahi hai”, while pointing towards a standee of their film. One Saurav Yadav, who shared the video, wrote that they instigated people’s sentiments, earned money and are now partying in Bangkok.

Author and historian Ashok Kumar Pandey, reacting to the video, wrote: “I was informed that on the day when they were sending Pandits in Pune to show the whole truth to me, they were going to Bangkok to have fun.” This was in reference with his Twitter exchange Pandey had with Agnihotri earlier.

Popular parody account Rofl Gandhi wrote: “For the last 2 months, if anyone talked about even a slight smile about his file, Vivek Agnihotri would have called that person Genocide Enabler Jelusil Bikasul and what not. Now husband and wife are giggling after seeing posters in Bangkok, making Pakistani memes. Don’t forget KPs!

Congress leader Salman Nizami said: “The Kashmir Files – producers are partying in Bangkok while Kashmiri Pandits are suffering in Migrant camps- Waiting for their return. Waiting for the package, jobs, security. Be it Anupam Kher or Vivek Agnihotri – Always profiting. Always making money off tragedies, disgusting!”

Another user wrote: “After weaponising & using the pain of Kashmiri Pandits to mint 200+ crores the conflict merchant couple has the last laugh. Tik Toks in Bangkok. Arvind Kejriwal was right. For them it was always about Khel Khatam Paisa Hazam.”
