New Delhi | Former Bihar Chief Minister and wife of Jailed RJD chief Lalu Yadav, Rabri Devi on Monday said that she has no objections if Nitish Kumar joins the Mahagatbadhan in Bihar.
Addressing media on Monday, Rabri Devi said,” If Nitish Kumar joins the Grand Alliance again, we have no objection to it”. However, she further made it clear that the final decision will be taken by top leaders of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD).
The former Chief Minister’s statement has come after another RJD leader Raghuvansh Prasad Singh said the JD(U) chief Nitish Kumar should join hands with non-BJP parties to fight against the saffron party. He said, “Nitish Kumar will surely switch sides but no one can predict when will he do that or what will he say. This has happened several times earlier. It’s not surprising… All I want is that everyone should come together against the BJP.”
The talks of Nitish Kumar joining the grand alliance in Bihar arised after the chief minister didn’t include any BJP MLA during the induction of eight JD(U) MLAs as cabinet ministers.
The relationship between both RJD and JD(U) turned bitter when in 2017 Nitish dumped RJD led alliance and joined hands with the BJP.
