The notice quoted Banerjee as saying, “Kanyashree is a scholarship for even universities. There is education for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes. Swami Vivekananda Scholarship is for the general category. My brothers and sisters from the minority community have Ekashree and I have given it to 2 crores 35 lakh beneficiaries. With folded hands, I appeal to my minority siblings not to give their votes to the devil and not to distribute their votes, who have taken money from BJP. ”

What did Mamata say on the first notice of the Election Commission?

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said on Thursday that she would continue to raise her voice against any attempt to divide the electorate on communal grounds and even if the Election Commission would send her ten show-cause notices, she would not change her stand. I will stand against dividing the electorate on religious grounds.”

“No Action Against PM Modi For Communal Remarks”

Mamata Banerjee indirectly referring to PM Modi had said, “He makes many communal remarks and creates a divide between Hindu and Muslim. He is a BJP pracharak, fellow. The CPI (M) and BJP partners are roaming around to take votes from the BJP to distribute votes of minorities. Do not let them do this.”
