“Shinde Old Shiv Sainik; Neither Easy For Him Nor For Us To Leave Each Other”: Sanjay Raut

Shiv Sainik

Hindu Sena Eknath Shinde is an old Shiv Sainik, and according to MP Sanjay Raut, neither can he leave Sena nor can we leave him.

Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut spoke with “old Shiv Sainik” Eknath Shinde over the phone on Wednesday morning amidst the political unrest in Maharashtra. “Our friend Eknath Shinde is an old Shiv Sainik. For many years, we have collaborated. It’s neither easy for him nor for us to leave each other. This morning, I spoke with him for an hour, and I told the party chairman about it,” stated Raut.

Eknath Shinde asked that the Sena renew its partnership with the BJP, according to the sources. Raut, however, asserted that Shinde has not imposed any requirements or conditions. “Discussions with MLAs who support Eknath Shinde are in progress; everyone will remain in the Shiv Sena. Shinde is and will be a Shiv Sainik,” according to Raut.

Additionally, he claimed that Uddhav Thackeray is being supported by the Congress and NCP. “We will keep fighting. What is the worst that may occur? We’ll become powerless. We’ll be without power! However, power comes and goes, and we will eventually regain it, but the party’s honour must always be preserved. We’ll struggle persistently,” said Raut, adding that the party is a fighter.

Sanjay Raut added that although a lot had been published about his friendship with Shinde, the two remained in touch since they were Shiv Sainiks employed by the same organisation.

The claim that Sharad Pawar had forewarned Uddhav Thackeray about the escalating unrest inside the Shiv Sena a few months ago is untrue, according to Raut.

In the meantime, on Wednesday, a poster could be seen outside Sanjay Raut’s Mumbai home. “Your arrogance would endure 4 days, our kingship is inherited,” the banner declared.

Uddhav Thackeray, the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, is depicted on the poster, together with Balasaheb and Aditya Thackeray, Sanjay Raut, and other well-known figures.

Political crisis in Maharashtra

Eknath Shinde, the leader of the Shiv Sena, asserted that he is supported by at least 40 MLAs who are camped out in Guwahati. The Shiv Sena-led MVA administration is currently in disarray as a result of Shinde’s action. After the MLC poll results were announced, MLAs retreated into seclusion and appeared to be rebelling against the party, which caused the major political parties to congregate.

Shinde stated the following while his camp stayed silent over its internal developments: “Balasaheb Thackeray’s Shiv Sena is still where we are. We won’t be leaving. Balasaheb’s Hindutva is something we have been pursuing and will continue to do.”
